2012 Cyclist Sculpture for the Olympic Road Race, Dorking, which was
funded in part by Mole Valley Council but the rest of the budget was raised
through community engagement, involvement and investment.

The local Councillor, Caroline Salmon, enlisted the help of several schools in Dorking who were able to assist
me with their ideas and aspirations for a cyclist sculpture. We decided through this process to take on the leaf
theme and to incorporate 300 steel oak leaves into the piece. The oak is the symbol of Mole Valley.
